Signature

An officer listed as President, Vice President, Treasurer, or Secretary on the articles of incorporation or the latest status filing must sign the POA. Officers with other titles can sign only if they have proper authorization. We do not accept electronic signatures; please provide a wet signature in blue ink.

Supporting Document #1

Submit the most recent status filing with the Secretary of State that lists your officer(s) names. If the filing doesn’t include officer names, please provide a copy of the articles of organization or incorporation.

Supporting Document #2

Submit a document that verifies your company’s EIN number, such as a copy of the IRS letter assigning the EIN to your business.

Photo I.D

Submit a government-issued photo I.D. for the officer who signed the customs power of attorney.

Foreign Importers

All foreign importers need a resident agent, ideally a company providing this service nationwide. As part of our services, we can serve as your agent.

Regulation Update

Customs Brokers must execute a POA directly with the client rather than through a freight forwarder or any other third party.  CBP Regulation Update 12/19/2022
