Customs Clearance
Being registered as an importer with customs means officially establishing your identity and credentials with Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
The following steps should be carried out:
1. For GRF to start assisting you with this process, an executed and validated
Power of Attorney should be on file with GRF.
2. Registration as a new importer of record with CBP
3. Register to obtain an Automated Clearinghouse Payer Unit Number (also known as ACH PUN) for direct payment of duties/fees to CBP.
4. Fill out the import bond application / Post import bond
